Our client had an underutilized closet area in the upstairs hallway. The space appeared to have been intended for another use, as an existing skylight was already in place; however, the sloped floor created by the roof rafters below made it difficult to function effectively. I proposed transforming the area into an elevated reading nook with custom millwork, integrated lighting, and upholstered cushions. The result is a warm, inviting space that has become a favorite spot for reading and quiet moments.
