This project involved a great room addition designed to create a flexible gathering space for entertaining, games, reading, and everyday recreation. The addition replaces an existing rear patio and connects seamlessly to the home’s kitchen and dining areas, strengthening the relationship between indoor and outdoor living.

The site presented challenging grading conditions, which were addressed through a custom board-formed concrete retaining wall. The wall defines circulation from the new patio around the house, becoming a key architectural feature of the project.
